It's very simple. The people who work here love what they do.
Meg Friedman, Executive Director
Meg Friedman is a nonprofit executive with more than 20 years of experience in revenue development, marketing and communications, strategic planning, and campaign, volunteer and staff management. Meg loves to write and tell the stories that bring an organization, its people and unique contribution to our society “to life.” She also enjoys connecting people with charitable projects that are meaningful – because she believes that giving should bring about a sense of joy or serenity in your heart and soul.
In her role as Philanthropic Counsel with Good Works, Meg provided strategic advice and fundraising services to numerous hospital and long-term care centres including Bruyère Foundation and The Perley and Rideau Veterans Health Centre Foundation. Meg was the first Managing Director for Hillel Lodge Long-Term Care Foundation, and held leadership positions with United Way Ottawa and Jewish Federation of Ottawa.
Fun facts about Meg: Meg was raised in Waterloo, as one of eight children in the Kirby family. She moved to Ottawa in 1996, and is happiest when spending time with her children, family and friends, or taking in the sights and sounds of the great outdoors, especially on a sunny day.
