Kelly Sample is the Managing Partner of Kelly Santini LLP in Ottawa. Her legal practice is focused on business law and commercial real estate, which she complements with an in-depth knowledge of tax, estate and trust planning for business owners. She serves a broad cross section of industries including construction, aviation, health care and sports and recreation.
As the firm’s Managing Partner, Kelly oversees all aspects of the firm’s operations, giving her comprehensive understanding of the business and legal needs of her clients. She is a member of a number of professional and industry associations and has been an active volunteer and director of numerous organizations. Kelly is a member of the Board of Governors of Algonquin College and currently serves on the audit committee.

Louise Bourbeau started her career in the Navy Headquarters of National Defence and later went on to work with both the St. Lawrence Seaway Authority and the National Harbours Board.
After 38 years of federal public serve, Louise retired as Senior Advisor, Western Provinces in the Policy and Coordination dept. of Transport Canada.
Louise has been a very active volunteer at St. Patrick’s Home since 1998 taking on a variety of roles from project administration, board of directors to fundraising with the Foundation. Through the years, Louise has received well deserved recognition for her volunteer services and outstanding devotion from St. Patrick’s Home, the Mayor of the City of Ottawa, and the local MPP, David McGuinty.
In 2010, Louise was presented with the first St. Patrick’s Home “Spirit” award for her tireless efforts in support of the Mission and Values of the Home. Louise has been married to her charming and equally dedicated volunteering husband, Bruce for 56 years and they have one daughter, Tara. Louise eagerly looks forward to being an active member of this new initiative.
Ruth Catana joined the St. Patrick’s Home Foundation in December of 2012. Ruth brings with her over 30 years of fundraising, communication and marketing experience. She previously worked at Nature Canada, a national conservation organization as the Chief Operating Officer where she led all aspects of fundraising, marketing, communications and organization operations. Ruth is very passionate about connecting donors to St. Pat’s to see first-hand the care provided 24/7.
A fun fact about Ruth: She has an extensive collection of shoes and cook books. She loves to travel and experience all the culinary delights of the countries she has visited – near and far.
Liz Cosgrove is a long-time volunteer for St. Patrick’s Home and only just recently retired from the Foundation Board of Directors.
In her professional life, she has earned the highest regard as Vice President and Senior Investment Advisor at BMO Nesbitt Burns.
Liz played a major role in the Capital Campaign to bring the Dream of a NEW HOME to life and continues to this day to both personally and professionally to support St. Pat’s Foundation.
Charlotte Forbes is a former pharmacist and long time volunteer at St. Patrick’s Home.
Charlotte sits on the Family Council of St. Pat’s Home and both she and her husband remain very active in the community assisting our Elders and supporting many fundraising initiatives.
Recently Charlotte walked the runway as a beautiful model for the Foundation’s annual Fashion Show FUNraiser with Shepherds Fashions.
Rosa Maria Iuliano
Rosa Maria Iuliano is a well-rounded Senior Accounting and business leader; Chartered Professional Accountant and Tax Partner at Collins Barrow Ottawa LLP.
With over 20 years of experience, Rosa was the first female partner at Collins Barrow Ottawa and leads a tax practice that empowers clients in addition to being their trusted business advisor. Rosa’s expertise and encouragement allows her clients to be successful in their respective areas of business. Rosa is a subject matter expert in the area of taxation and shares her knowledge as an active lecturer, seminar leader, media contributor and guest speaker on many tax related topics.
A winner of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario’s Award of Distinction, and Ottawa Business Journal’s Top Forty Under 40 Award, Rosa believes in promoting her profession, and giving back to her community by volunteering both her time and talents. Rosa believes in team work, acting for the common good, and inspiring and developing others to be leaders themselves.
Rosa is the proud mother of two beautiful girls, and with her supportive husband Carlo, they strive to show their children that they can achieve anything they set their minds to.
Anna Janigan was born and raised in Ottawa. Proud daughter of Patrick John Kelly who immigrated to Canada in 1929 from the shores of Ireland and soon afterwards, met and married the lovely Mary Lizzi a 1st generation Canadian of Italian descent.
As a long-time friend and supporter of St. Patrick’s Home, Anna has always had a high regard for the quality of care and service taking place every day at St. Pat’s. Like many kind and generous members in our greater community, Anna prefers to be in the background, quietly helping where she feels her support is most needed.
In Anna’s words; “Philanthropy comes in many ways and each of us must strive in our own way to make a difference in the greater community we all share”. Anna is very pleased to join her fellow Leaders in working together promoting philanthropy, empowering women of all generations to take action, create results and inspire hope and inspiration for our seniors.
We are very pleased to have Anna join her fellow “Leaders” in making a difference for our Residents.
Dianna Larkin is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Partner at McCay Duff LLP. Having grown up with entrepreneurial parents she thoroughly enjoys working with business owners and is passionate about helping both her clients and staff reach their goals. Through her experiences growing up in rural Nova Scotia she gained a strong sense of the importance of the seniors in her community. During her teenage years her volunteer work with seniors helped her gain an appreciation for the wisdom that they have to share as well as their sense of humour. Dianna is a strong believer in giving back to the community and is honoured to join the fellow founding members of Leaders ‘n Pearls.
Irene Martin, a registered nurse with over 40 years experience in the health care field, founded Retire-At-Home in 1994 from the living room of her home in Nepean with the goal of providing seniors a more personalized service for their home and health care needs.
By serving one client at a time and always ensuring that each client receives the best possible care, she has built an organization of dedicated, caring professionals that represent her philosophies of total quality care.
Mrs. Martin advocates for seniors and community organization by donating her time and money to many worthy causes and always ensures that Retire-At-Home is good corporate community partner. In 2006, Mrs. Martin was chosen as Business Woman Entrepreneur of the Year by the Ottawa Women’s Business Network.
Kathy McVean is retired from a teaching career with the Carleton and Ottawa Catholic School Boards at the elementary and secondary levels, working primarily with special needs students.
She has served on the executive and as president of the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association both locally and provincially and has been named a Fellow of the Ontario Teachers’ Federation. Post retirement, Kathy worked for five years with Elections Canada as the assistant returning officer in Ottawa West-Nepean.
She is a volunteer in the Religious and Spiritual Care Department and Medical Records section at the Home. This volunteer time provides her with the opportunity and distinct pleasure to get to know and work first hand with the residents. Kathy has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Home since 2008, serving on the Planning and Evaluation and Corporate Redevelopment Committees.
In 2014 she was appointed as the representative of the Catholic Health Corporation of Ontario on the Board.
Janet Morris, President and CEO of St. Patrick’s Home brings a wealth of knowledge and years of experience, not only in the long-term care sector but also a strong history of working within in the broader health care community. Janet’s clinical professional roots were spent as an Occupational Therapist working primarily with seniors in hospitals and in the community.
Her education and leadership skills in the areas of healthcare management , governance, and human resources have lead to progressively responsible leadership roles. Janet has held leadership positions in Long Term Care Homes for the past 20 years; most recently as the Executive Director of Longfields Manor.
She has been actively involved with the Champlain Local Health Integration Network on various committees and sits as a member of the Regional Hospice Palliative Care Program and the Nepean Rideau Osgoode Community Resource Centre Board of Directors .
Janet’s talents and expertise are well respected in the greater community and will be a great asset to our Giving Circle.
Pierrette Raymond is very proud to be a founding member of Leaders N’ Pearls. As a life transition expert, she works with families and individuals who are in crisis or major life transition.
She is very passionate about helping caregivers, families with aging loved ones and seniors who need support.
She is a founding franchise partner of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and the owner of Moving Forward Matters, a specialized home transition business in Ottawa. She also recently launched Women Living Fully, an online and in-person group specializing in helping alleviate caregiver overwhelm, the challenges of aging loved ones and the losses that we face every day in our lives.
With a background in Psychology and Education, a Masters in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, certifications in death, dying, bereavement, funeral services, grief recovery and relocation & transition services, Pierrette understands the deep psychological, physical and emotional toll we experience when we are in overwhelm, in crisis and in transition.
Catherine Shea is a fluently bilingual accomplished business and community leader with over 20 years in business development and marketing and sales management, recognized as a top producer with demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams of professionals to new levels of success in cutting-edge markets and fast-paced environments.
Strong leadership, relationship management and business qualifications with multi-faceted experience in marketing and sales strategic planning, business development and growth, operations and P&L, business process improvements, performance management, and exceptional customer service delivery to both internal and external clients. Additional not-for-profit experiences include working with foundations to develop strategies and programs to create awareness, advocacy, and raise fundraising dollars.
Marilyn Willms has been on staff at St. Patrick’s Home for 16 years and is currently the Vice President of Finance.
Marilyn loves the outdoors and weekends at the lake are always top of mind.
When asked why Marilyn loves working at St. Pat’s her reply was “I am honored to serve our Residents and having worked in the Home when the Grey Sisters were active on site, I feel strongly the need to honor their legacy of care and service”
